This photograph, shot on a cool January evening, highlights not only the Tin Fish Restaurant at the end of the Imperial Beach Pier but also the northernmost isle of Mexico’s Los Coronados Islands, affectionately known as ‘the Mummy.’ Very clear skies and 100% visibility makes this after-sunset photo possible - the blue ocean water retains its luminance and fishermen at pier’s end are still visible. I shot this photo while standing near the Surf Statue at the end of Palm Avenue.
