This calm image was photographed where Descanso Blvd meets the ocean in Imperial Beach, CA on a cool, breezy morning. Imperial Beach beaches don’t normally have rocks and boulders on them, but the massive King Tides that hit our shores in January took out part of the rock berm that protects the southern part of our coastline, pulling many of the stones that make up the berm into the ocean and placing them up and down the beach.
