There are a couple of scenic overlooks on Highway 46, on the southern edge of Big Sur, that offer exceptional views to the South.

Six of the Nine Sisters (volcanic plugs) are (barely) visible, including the iconic Morro Rock. Montana de Oro is the piece of land jutting out along the horizon.
